Job description:
Reports to: Attorney
Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will:
- Gain valuable experience while undergoing specialized immigration paralegal education training
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Conduct follow-up calls as may be required
- Prepare immigration applications
- Draft Asylum and Waiver Briefs
- Organize folders
- Schedule/calendar case-related matters and track deadlines
- Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses
- Support litigation-related work of assigned cases – in-house and in court
- Provide leadership in firm marketing and outreach-related activities
- Participate in management meetings as may be required from time to time
- Any other activities mandated by company management.
Requirements (Experience/Qualifications):
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of law experience preferred
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to operate well under pressure and under minimal supervision
· Spanish and English fluency (written and spoken) required
· Strong writing skills are essential
· Strong attention to detail and organization
