Dehra Miotke, LLC is a well-established immigration law firm representing employers, professionals, investors, families, religious workers, and individuals throughout the United States and abroad. Our practice encompasses the full spectrum of immigration law, including employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, removal defense, naturalization, waivers, and humanitarian matters.
We are currently seeking three (3) motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegals to join our growing team. We welcome candidates with experience in employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, removal defense, or a combination thereof.
Position Overview
The Immigration Paralegal will assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of a variety of immigration matters, maintain direct communication with clients, and ensure that cases progress efficiently and accurately through all stages of representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
- Draft forms, cover letters, support letters, affidavits, and legal correspondence.
- Communicate with clients regarding case requirements, document collection, and filing deadlines.
- Track case progress and maintain accurate case records.
- Monitor government processing updates and requests for evidence.
- Coordinate filings with USCIS, the Department of Labor, EOIR Immigration Courts, U.S. Consulates, and other government agencies.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to ensure timely and accurate case preparation.
Experience Areas

Employment-Based Immigration
- H-1B petitions
- PERM labor certifications
- I-140 immigrant petitions
Family-Based Immigration
- I-130 petitions
- Adjustment of Status applications
- Consular processing
- Naturalization and citizenship matters
- Waivers and related filings
Removal Defense and Humanitarian Matters
- Asylum applications
- EOIR filings
- Motions to reopen and reconsider
- Cancellation of removal
- Other removal defense and humanitarian immigration matters
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of immigration paralegal experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience working in a high-volume immigration practice preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
