Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Immigration Paralegal. It requires in-office work three days per week and work from home two days per week. Remote work upon request in exceptional circumstances. The position is heavy on AOS, Consular Process, COS, NATZ, ASY, TPS, PIP, NIW, EB1A, etc., but we can train the right candidate in family and humanitarian-based matters if the candidate has experience in the employment-based field.
The Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for preparing family- and employment-based applications and petitions, including but not limited to Adjustments of Status, I-130s, I-129Fs, TNs, Asylum, Parole, I-140s, N-400s, N-600s, Work Authorizations, U-Visa, VAWA, Parole, etc. Responsibilities also include client communications, case management, invoicing, sharing the responsibility of returning leads/calls, and general assistance to the supervising attorney. Duties may evolve with the growth of the firm or the addition of new roles.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience working at an immigration law firm as a paralegal
- Employment-based experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of NVC, CEAC, and K-1 consular process
- Spanish or other second language speaker
- H.S. Diploma + 5 years of direct experience, or Associate Degree/Bachelor's + 2 years of experience in the field
- Experience in H1B, H2A, H2B, PERM, Eb1/NIW, and L1 highly desirable
- Experience with Cerenade platform
- Experience with Lawmatics
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience working at an immigration law firm as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and procedures at USCIS and the Department of State
- Experience completing forms and producing packs for USCIS filings
- Strong skills with G Suite, Word, and Adobe Pro
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team or individually (the position is mostly independent work but requires cooperation with others in the office) and under deadline pressure
- Empathy, patience, and desire to assist economically and culturally diverse clients in a courteous manner
- Must value collegiality, be able to manage/organize volume, and deal with a wide variety of clients in a courteous manner.
