VisaNation Law Group PLLC is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join our growing team in South Florida.
VisaNation serves businesses and individuals throughout the United States and internationally, including startups, established companies, entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and highly accomplished professionals. We combine sophisticated immigration counsel with efficient processes and modern technology to deliver an exceptional client experience.
This is a fully in-office position for a paralegal who has substantial employment-based immigration experience and is comfortable managing a demanding caseload with accuracy, urgency, and strong professional judgment.
You will work closely with our attorneys throughout the lifecycle of employment-based immigration matters, from initial case intake and document collection through drafting, filing, and post-filing follow-up. The successful candidate will be able to independently move cases forward, communicate confidently with clients and employers, anticipate attorney needs, and maintain consistently high standards across a large number of active matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa filings, including H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, E-1/E-2, J-1, EB-1, EB-2 NIW, EB-3, PERM and adjustment-of-status matters.
- Draft immigration forms, petition letters, employer support letters, client declarations, responses to Requests for Evidence and other case-related correspondence.
- Manage cases from intake through filing, including identifying required evidence, reviewing documentation and following up with clients regarding outstanding items.
- Coordinate directly with corporate representatives, foreign national employees and individual clients regarding timelines, documentation and case progress.
- Monitor filing deadlines, expiration dates, recruitment timelines and other important case milestones.
- Organize case files and ensure that forms, supporting evidence and filing packages are complete, accurate and properly documented.
- Conduct preliminary immigration research and assist attorneys with case strategy, eligibility analysis and complex filings.
- Maintain accurate information within the firm’s case management and document systems.
- Help improve internal workflows, templates and processes as the firm continues to grow.
Qualifications
- At least five years of immigration paralegal experience, with significant hands-on experience in employment-based immigration.
- Strong working knowledge of H-1B, L-1, PERM and employment-based green card matters.
- Experience with O-1, EB-1A, EB-1C, EB-2 NIW, E-1/E-2 or related categories is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare substantive first drafts of petition letters, employer letters and RFE responses.
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload and balancing multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written communication, proofreading and document-organization skills.
- Strong client service skills and the confidence to communicate directly with corporate contacts and foreign national employees.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accountability and follow-through.
- Comfort using immigration software, case management platforms, cloud-based systems and other legal technology.
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
We are seeking someone who takes genuine ownership of their work. You should be proactive, organized and resourceful rather than waiting to be reminded about deadlines or next steps.
This position is best suited for a professional who enjoys a fast-moving environment, takes pride in producing excellent work and wants to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the firm.
