Role Description The Immigration Paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management in a full-time, on-site role located in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. Daily responsibilities include gathering and organizing client information, preparing and reviewing immigration forms and supporting documents, and maintaining accurate case files and timelines. The paralegal will communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and provide updates on case status while ensuring sensitive information is handled confidentially. Additional tasks include drafting legal correspondence, assisting with evidence packets for court and USCIS filings, and coordinating with government agencies and other stakeholders as needed. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple cases, and a commitment to providing respectful, client-centered service.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish. Fluency in Spanish and English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Inadmissibility waivers preparation experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal.
- Asylum drafting experience.
- Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with practical understanding of immigration procedures and case types.
- Knowledge of Immigration Issues and Visas, including family-based, humanitarian, and employment-related categories.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation for immigration petitions, applications, waivers, and supporting evidence packets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
- High level of organization, time management, and accuracy when handling multiple deadlines and case files.
- Proficiency with legal case management software, document management tools, and standard office applications as Docketwise.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or paralegal certificate, preferred.
