Immigration Attorney

Job Description
A growing law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join its Coral Gables office. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, the firm is expanding its Immigration Practice Group and adding a fourth attorney to the team.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of immigration matters, excellent client advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a diverse caseload while collaborating with a supportive legal team.
Responsibilities
- Represent individuals and businesses in a wide variety of immigration matters.
- Prepare and file family-based and employment-based immigration petitions and applications.
- Handle immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters, adjustment of status applications, naturalization, and other immigration benefits.
- Represent clients before Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), USCIS, and other administrative agencies.
- Prepare asylum applications, waivers, removal defense matters, and other forms of humanitarian relief.
- Conduct legal research and remain current on changes to U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Gather and review supporting documentation to prepare complete and accurate case filings.
- Counsel clients regarding immigration compliance, employment eligibility, and available legal options.
- Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and other legal professionals to ensure timely case progression.
- Handle appeals and post-decision matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience preferred.
- Experience handling family-based and employment-based immigration matters required.
- Experience with removal defense, asylum, humanitarian relief, and immigration litigation preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing required.
