Position Overview
As an Immigration Attorney, you will represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other government agencies while managing a diverse caseload. You'll work closely with an experienced team of attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to provide high-quality legal representation and exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other government agencies.
- Manage a caseload that may include:
- Family-based petitions
- Removal defense
- Asylum
- Waivers
- Employment-based immigration matters
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal filings.
- Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration hearings, and court appearances.
- Attend immigration interviews, bond hearings, and court proceedings.
- Review and approve filings prepared by paralegals and case managers.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal advice and case updates.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure all filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized case files and detailed case notes within the firm's case management system.
- Stay current on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Qualifications Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (Florida Bar preferred).
- 1–3+ years of immigration law experience.
- Experience handling matters before USCIS and EOIR.
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience handling removal defense, asylum, waivers, and family-based immigration matters.
