Role Description The Immigration Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role located in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. This role involves supporting attorneys with immigration case management, including preparing and organizing legal documents, forms, and supporting evidence for family-based, employment-based, and other visa petitions. The Immigration Paralegal will maintain case files, track deadlines, and communicate with clients to gather information and provide status updates. Daily tasks include conducting basic legal research on immigration issues, drafting correspondence, and coordinating filings with government agencies. The role also requires collaborating with attorneys and office staff to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with the ability to understand and apply relevant regulations and procedures.
- Experience handling Immigration Issues and Visas, including common petition types and associated documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting forms, letters, and affidavits with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as an immigration paralegal or in a legal support role preferred; familiarity with relevant case management software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and legal experience is strongly preferred.
- Fluency or professional proficiency in at least one of French or Spanish, in addition to English, is highly beneficial.
