Who We Are
ZMK Law, founded by first-generation immigrant and woman leader Merve Kati, Esq., is a boutique immigration law firm based in New York. We are looking for an Experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This is a hybrid position, with 1–2 days per week in our Long Island office and the remainder remote. Our firm operates in English, Spanish, and Turkish.
What You’ll Do
- Handle family-based and humanitarian immigration cases, including document collection, form preparation, legal drafting and case organization under attorney supervision
- Track deadlines and maintain accurate, well-organized case files
- Work closely with the entire team in a collaborative environment
- Support internal workflows to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
- Communicate directly with clients in English and Spanish
- Take on responsibility for serving as a point of escalation for case-related questions, as well as assisting with training and staff development
Who You Are
- An experienced immigration paralegal with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly, confidently, and strategically when interacting with clients
- Committed to delivering high-quality work and excellent client service
- Able to manage a workload with accuracy and consistency
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a modern law firm environment
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to commute to our Long Island office 1–2 days per week as needed
