About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Immigration Attorney to join our team, specializing in family-based immigration matters and removal defense. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and advocacy skills, experience representing clients in immigration court, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in removal defense proceedings, including master calendar hearings, individual hearings, bond hearings, and appeals before EOIR and BIA.
- Handle family-based immigration petitions and applications, including Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, I-130s, I-601/601A waivers, VAWA, U visas, TPS, and related filings.
- Prepare and file motions, briefs, appeals, and legal memoranda in support of client cases.
- Conduct client consultations, case evaluations, and strategy sessions.
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and agency requirements.
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure effective case preparation and client communication.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration law, regulations, and policies impacting clients.
- Participate in community outreach, legal clinics, and educational workshops as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with a state bar (preferably GA).
- 1–3+ years of immigration law experience (removal defense and family-based cases strongly preferred).
- Strong oral advocacy and written legal skills, with the ability to litigate complex cases.
- Fluency in Spanish required
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Passion for immigrant rights and commitment to client-centered representation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
