Role Overview:
The MBNAC Immigration and Relocation Analyst will work with the NA HR entities, and the People Solutions Center Immigration Specialist and People Programs Analyst on aligning policies and best practices for areas such as Relocation and Immigration services. Provide subject matter expertise on domestic corporate mobility for the region. Act as the liaison between employee and legal vendor for immigration questions. Audit and code invoices as needed for these services, and work with Finance and Controlling as needed for budget management. Track, report and identify relocation and immigration issues, and stay up to date on regulations to advise the organization or escalate as needed. Provide support to employees from all entities regarding program, policy and procedures for relocation and immigration.
Responsibilities:
- Work to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness of programs across NA HR in regards to relocation and immigration. Stay current on industry trends and best practices. Initiate and implement new processes and improve policies. Benchmark industry standards. Resolve issues regarding relocation and immigration to mitigate escalation.
- Collaborate with the OGC /Legal departments regarding potential employee/company issues.
- Work with invoicing processes, managing vendors, and developing presentation materials.
- Ability to review and interpret statistical data from various sources.
- Approve exceptions regarding benefits on relocation policies across entities based on employee needs and situation. Resolve issues between vendors and transferring employees. Escalate issues to the appropriate manager for resolution and provide guidance on best practices and policy.
- Provide evaluation and guidance to Talent Acquisition Specialists and HR Business Partners to determine if foreign national candidates / employees are eligible for Green Card sponsorship
- Manage nonimmigrant and immigrant matters for existing and inbound foreign national employees and ensure that deadlines are met for the filing of immigration extension processes
- Act as a liaison between immigration attorney’s office, foreign national employees, human resources team and hiring managers to provide accurate information and guidance
- Actively monitor visa/work authorization expiration dates, obtain department approval for renewal, and start process in a timely fashion
- Manage relationship with external mobility service provider to ensure seamless employee relocation and management including handling escalations as needed
- Coordinate with outside vendor to assist employees with all aspects of the relocation process, including shipment of goods, temporary housing, and resources for family needs
Qualifikationen
Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
This position requires a minimum of 3 years of overall work experience.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Required (Business, Management, HR Focus)
- 3+ years’ experience working in HR or a Shared Services Model
- Experience mediating or consulting on difficult and complex HR or customer topics under stress
- Experience with MS Office suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to create and present to a variety of different level individuals such as leaders in roles at the Senior Manager level and above
- Experience supporting immigration cases or relocation efforts – highly preferred
- High-level attention to detail and understanding of complex HR related topics.
- Consistent ability to follow through on commitments, timely delivery of work, and perform tasks concisely.
