We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Immigration Legal Clerk (entry level also acceptable) to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys and management with a range of responsibilities, including communicating with clients, managing case files, and handling administrative tasks. This role requires organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive mindset. multilingual skills are a plus (French or Spanish).

Key Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls professionally and provide timely, accurate information or direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, gather necessary documentation, and schedule appointments.
Draft and transcribe legal documents including motions, affidavits, and letters under the supervision of attorneys.
Conduct legal research related to immigration law using online databases (e.g., Lexis-Nexis).
Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical records using document management systems.
Support attorneys in preparation for court hearings, client meetings, and interviews.
Perform general administrative tasks including scheduling, data entry, and document scanning.
Uphold client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in immigration law or a legal office environment preferred.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to immigration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-service mindset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and reviewing documents.
Bilingual (French or Spanish) is a plus but not required.
