In response to the continued growth of our immigration practice, Fong Ilagan is seeking a full-time Bilingual Associate Attorney to join our team. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Immigration Law. This position presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic practice with a multicultural team. Candidates should be highly organized, dependable, and diligent, with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision and contribute collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
All matters pertaining to Immigration law, including but not limited to:
◾ Develop and implement case strategy
◾ Removal Proceedings
◾ Bond Hearings
◾ Master Calendar & Individual Hearings
◾ Application for Asylum
◾ BIA Appeals
◾ Motions to Reopen/Reconsider
◾ Family based immigration
◾ Employment based immigration & NIV (H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, O-1)
◾ EB-5
◾ Research immigration law and procedures
Qualifications and requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing to practice immigration law
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Immigration law and regulations
- Minimum 1-2 years of Family-based Immigration; Asylum and Removal of Defense; Business Immigration experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and client management skills; bilingual English and Spanish required
- Strong organization and research skills with attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaborative mindset with a willingness to work with a supportive team
