Job Summary
An established immigration law firm is seeking an experienced
Employment-Based Immigration Attorney to join its San Diego office.
This position focuses exclusively on
employment-based immigrant visa matters, including
EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 petitions. The ideal candidate has at least
2 years of experience managing PERM labor certifications and I-140 petitions from initiation through final adjudication.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage employment-based green card matters, including EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 petitions.
- Prepare and file PERM Labor Certification applications.
- Draft and file I-140 Immigrant Petitions.
- Prepare National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions, when applicable.
- Advise corporate clients on employment-based immigration strategies.
- Draft legal support letters and detailed petition briefs.
- Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs).
- Work directly with HR representatives and corporate stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and USCIS regulations.
- Monitor priority dates and assist with adjustment of status strategy.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in good standing (California preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of employment-based immigration law experience.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- PERM Labor Certifications
- I-140 Immigrant Petitions
- EB-1 Petitions
- EB-2 Petitions (NIW experience preferred)
- EB-3 Petitions
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex cases in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience advising corporate clients is preferred.
