Role Description The Immigration Attorney will work on-site in Northfield, IL in a full-time capacity, providing legal services to individual and corporate clients on a wide range of immigration matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on immigration options, preparing and filing petitions and applications, and representing clients before immigration authorities and related agencies. The attorney will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and maintain accurate case files and documentation. Collaboration with other attorneys and staff, participation in client meetings, and timely communication with clients regarding case status and strategy are essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of immigration law, including Immigration Law and Immigration Issues.
- Experience handling various immigration matters, such as Immigration and Visas.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex Legal Issues in an immigration context.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Prior experience as an immigration attorney or in a related practice area is strongly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
