Ready to have your hard work as an Immigration Paralegal respected, celebrated, and rewarded?
Do you care deeply about helping immigrants but also want to work at a firm that cares about the quality of life for their team members?
Jaskot Law in downtown Baltimore is looking for a Spanish-speaking Immigration Paralegal with 2-4 years of experience in I-130s/consular processing/AOS, SIJS, VAWA, and T and U visas to join a firm where paralegals and staff members are seen as equal to lawyers as employees but with different job tasks.
Here are the important details about the role:
- Salary Range + Bonus Structure: $50,000/year to $75,000/year, depending on experience and knowledge. Bonuses of up to 20% of base salary annually with clear and reasonable goals determined on a monthly basis. With potential bonus, your total compensation could range from $60,000/year to $90,000/year.
- Benefits: 401(k) with a matching amount, PTO, health insurance (Kaiser Platinum–firm pays 50%), dental, and vision.
- Schedule: 4 Days In Office / 1 Day Remote (After 90 days). (Schedule is 9:30am-5:30pm).
- Language Requirements: English/Spanish bilingual fluency/proficiency.
- Case Types You Will Work on: I-130s/I-485s/CP/waivers, naturalization, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Asylum, and VAWA, U, and T visas.
- Career Path and Professional Development: This is not a dead end job. The firm helps their team members grow as legal professionals in their skills and knowledge and also provides opportunities for promotions.
High performers at the firm are:
- Organized and Self Starters: While overseen by attorneys, you’ll have ownership and autonomy in managing your work to ensure it’s completed on time and free of errors.
- Excellent Communicators + Emotionally Resilient: Clients often struggle to understand the complex processes performed on their behalf. You’ll help communicate important case details to clients primarily in Spanish. You’ll also know how to manage the emotional challenges and the difficult moments that come with representing vulnerable clients.
- Open to New Tech and AI Tools: The firm is known for its use of technology and AI (often in the beta stage) in every “nook and cranny” of the office. You love new technology and want to incorporate it into all areas of your immigration work to improve productivity and serve clients.
