Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Litigation Attorney to support our firm on a part-time, remote basis. This role is focused exclusively on litigation matters and requires an attorney who can independently manage complex cases while maintaining strict adherence to firm standards, deadlines, and client accountability.

This is not a general immigration role. The position is dedicated to litigation strategy, filings, and court advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage a caseload of immigration litigation matters, including:
Removal defense (EOIR)
Asylum applications and related relief
Motions practice (motions to reopen, reconsider, terminate)
Appeals to the BIA
Federal court litigation (as applicable)
Draft and review legal filings with a high level of accuracy and clarity
Develop case strategy and identify all viable forms of relief
Prepare clients for hearings, declarations, and testimony
Represent clients in immigration court hearings (virtually and/or in person if required)
Communicate directly with clients in both English and Spanish
Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to ensure timely case progression
Maintain complete and accurate case documentation in firm systems
Meet all internal and external deadlines without exception

Accountability & Performance Standards

Client Ownership: Attorney is wholly accountable for the outcome and progress of assigned cases
Timeliness: Strict adherence to court deadlines and firm timelines
Quality of Work: Filings must be thorough, legally sound, and strategically aligned
Communication: Clear, timely updates to both clients and internal team members in English and Spanish
Process Adherence: Follow firm systems and workflows without deviation

Required Qualifications

Active bar license in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction)
Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)
Must be able to conduct legal consultations, client prep, and explanations of legal strategy without an interpreter
Minimum 2+ years of immigration litigation experience
Demonstrated experience handling EOIR matters independently
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Experience with asylum and complex removal defense cases
Federal court litigation experience is a plus

Technical & Work Requirements

Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
Reliable internet and secure, private workspace compliant with client confidentiality standards
Comfortable using case management systems (experience with PracticePanther is a plus)
Availability for scheduled hearings, team collaboration, and client meetings as needed
