Ybarra Maldonado Law Group in Phoenix, Arizona, is looking for a Spanish-speaking Immigration Attorney with 3+ years of deportation defense experience to join a team that has deep roots in community organizing and activism.
The role requires an Immigration Attorney with strong experience representing clients in court with individual and master calendar hearings and related removal work. You’ll be part of a growing firm that is team-oriented, high-performing, and passionate.

Key info about the role:
- Salary Range: $115K/year to $150K/year, depending on experience and demonstrated value with potential for annual raises based on performance.
- Growth + Professional Development: The firm strongly supports professional development and growth for team members. You’ll work directly with firm ownership who want their team members to succeed.
- Work Location: In office in Phoenix, Arizona. Must be able to attend regular court dates and USCIS appointments in Phoenix and other Arizona locations. While there is no formal hybrid schedule, attorneys at the firm have discretion to work from home as needed provided there are no in-office or in-person conflicts.
- Language/J.D./Bar Admission: Fluency/professional proficiency in Spanish is very strongly preferred. Seeking candidates with a J.D. who are licensed to practice in Arizona or another US state. Added bonus if you have federal district court admission.

- Realistic Hours: 40-50 hours/week. At times you’ll need to work after normal business hours to handle urgent situations.

What About the Day-to-Day?
In this role, you’ll manage cases with the help of a dedicated team.
You’ll represent clients in immigration court proceedings, bond hearings, and interviews before USCIS and EOIR, and communicate effectively with clients to guide them through the immigration process as well as travel to visit detained clients.
In your work, you may also manage I-130s/AOS/CP, waivers, T visas, U visas, VAWAs, asylum, cancellation of removal, FOIAs, bond packets, as well as appeals and federal litigation.
