Diener Law is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with at least four years of practice experience and substantial immigration court experience. We are a growing national immigration firm focused on removal defense, asylum, and humanitarian relief.
This is a remote position designed to let attorneys focus on legal work, not administrative tasks. Our dedicated support team manages much of the case preparation and administrative process so you can concentrate on strategy, advocacy, litigation, and client outcomes.

Responsibilities
You will:
- Represent clients in removal and asylum proceedings before immigration courts nationwide, primarily through video appearances.
- Attend in-person immigration court hearings when required by the court, case circumstances, or client needs.
- Handle detained and non-detained removal-defense matters.
- Conduct virtual visits with detained clients.
- Litigate asylum, withholding of removal, cancellation of removal, waivers, and other forms of immigration relief.
- Review and supervise case preparation performed by support staff.
- Manage USCIS matters, including:
- Family-based petitions (I-130)
- Adjustment of Status (AOS)
- Naturalization (N-400)
- Citizenship matters (N-600)
- VAWA petitions
- U Visas
- I-601 and I-601A waivers
- Affirmative asylum applications
- Consular processing matters
- Contribute to our expanding federal court practice, including habeas petitions and other immigration-related federal litigation opportunities.
Workloads vary depending on hearing schedules, with some weeks being more litigation-intensive than others. USCIS work is generally balanced alongside court responsibilities.
Who Succeeds Here
We are looking for attorneys who:
- Have 4+ years of experience practicing immigration law as a licensed attorney.
- Have substantial EOIR experience handling removal-defense matters from initial hearings through final merits hearings.
- Are comfortable litigating:
- Asylum and withholding claims
- Cancellation of removal
- In-court adjustment of status
- Waivers
- Motions to reopen
- Motions to terminate
- Other contested immigration court proceedings
- Have detained-docket experience (preferred but not required).
- Hold a J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar license in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Can effectively supervise, mentor, and quality-control the work of a remote support team.
- Care deeply about client outcomes and are committed to high-quality representation.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $140,000, depending on experience.
- Quarterly Performance Bonus Program: Attorneys are eligible to participate in the firm's merit-based quarterly bonus program. Bonus awards are based on the quality of legal work, productivity, client service, teamwork, case outcomes, business needs, and overall contribution to the firm.
- Quarterly bonuses start at $20,000 per quarter for attorneys who meet performance expectations and may increase based on individual performance and firm results.
- High-performing attorneys who consistently exceed expectations may earn substantially more through the bonus program, with total annual compensation potentially reaching $250,000+ per year.

Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, attorneys must be willing and able to travel as needed for court appearances, hearings, client representation, firm meetings, trainings, or other business-related matters. While most immigration court appearances are conducted remotely, certain courts and proceedings may require in-person attendance.
