Role Description The Immigration Attorney will manage a caseload involving a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, removal defense, and other related proceedings. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing case strategies, preparing and reviewing petitions and applications, drafting legal briefs and motions, and representing clients before USCIS, immigration courts, and other agencies as needed. The attorney will research evolving immigration laws and regulations, collaborate with colleagues and external partners, and maintain thorough documentation and case management records. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Pembroke Pines, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Immigration Law and Immigration Issues, with demonstrated experience handling diverse immigration matters.
- Experience advising on Visas and related Immigration processes, including preparation and filing of visa petitions and applications.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex Legal Issues within the U.S. immigration framework.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in any U.S. state; Florida admission preferred.
- Prior experience as an immigration attorney or in a similar legal role, including client counseling and representation before agencies or courts.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail in document preparation and review.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to culturally sensitive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory client service, with proficient English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
