The Opportunity
Role
In this role you will:
- Manage the administration of the immigration program across the U.S., Canada, and South America.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, HRBPs, and TA teams regarding sponsorship and immigration-related matters.
- Partner closely with external immigration counsel to coordinate strategy, documentation, and case progression.
- Prepare and coordinate U.S. employment sponsorship petitions/applications (e.g., H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1), including extensions, amendments, and status changes.
- Support the PERM/Green Card recruitment and filing process (Prevailing Wage, recruitment steps, audits, filings).
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations (e.g., USCIS, DOL) including public access files and I‑9 documentation requirements.
- Coordinate Canadian work permit applications (e.g., LMIA, LMIA-exempt categories, intra-company transfers, business visitor entries).
- Manage immigration needs for employees in South American countries (e.g., work permits, residency applications, renewals), partnering with local counsel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with country‑specific labor and immigration laws and corporate governance standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized immigration files; conduct periodic audits to ensure regulatory compliance across all regions.
- Monitor expiration dates for visas, permits, and passports and proactively initiate renewal processes.
- Maintain immigration trackers and dashboards; provide periodic reporting and data insights to HR leadership.
- Advise HRBPs, TA partners, and hiring managers on sponsorship eligibility, timelines, risks, and best practices.
- Provide guidance to employees and candidates on immigration processes, timelines, and documentation.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of immigration administration experience supporting U.S. and/or international cases.
- Human Resources generalist experience within the AEC industry preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present insights to guide decision‑making.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance competing deadlines from the business.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
The salary range for this role is between $84,000 and $105,000 but actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set and education.
