Position Description
We are seeking a newly licensed or early-career attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience who is eager to build a career in immigration law.
The associate attorney will:
- Represent clients in immigration court and before USCIS under attorney supervision.
- Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents.
- Conduct client consultations and assist in case strategy development.
- Manage a caseload with support from paralegals and staff.
- Learn and apply changes in immigration law and procedures.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (North Carolina Bar preferred or willingness to sit for NC Bar exam).
- Demonstrated interest in immigration law (prior immigration experience is helpful but not required).
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-centered environment with support and guidance.
