Position Description

We are seeking a newly licensed or early-career attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience who is eager to build a career in immigration law.

The associate attorney will:

Represent clients in immigration court and before USCIS under attorney supervision.
Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents.
Conduct client consultations and assist in case strategy development.
Manage a caseload with support from paralegals and staff.
Learn and apply changes in immigration law and procedures.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (North Carolina Bar preferred or willingness to sit for NC Bar exam).
Demonstrated interest in immigration law (prior immigration experience is helpful but not required).
Strong legal writing and research skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-centered environment with support and guidance.
