Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to support our attorneys with targeted case tasks, client communication, and USCIS filings. If you excel at delivering precise, high-quality work in a fast-paced setting, this is your chance to shine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual immigration forms (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-765, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-918) for clients with limited-scope agreements.
- Conduct client intakes, gather documents, and maintain case files using MyCase software.
- Provide clear, client-friendly updates on specific deliverables, ensuring transparency for pay-as-you-go services.
- Research immigration laws; track deadlines; and assist with appeals, waivers, and deportation defense as needed.
- Communicate with clients (bilingual Spanish/English a plus), translate documents, and handle correspondence.
- Stay updated on USCIS policy changes and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of immigration paralegal experience (family or business immigration, ideally with unbundled or high-volume firms).
- Paralegal certification (e.g., NALA) or associate’s degree in paralegal studies.
- Proficiency in USCIS forms, e-filing, and legal research tools (e.g., FastCase).
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple limited-scope cases and attention to detail.
- Empathy and ability to explain complex processes simply for diverse clients.
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Creole, etc.) highly valued.
- Proficient in MS Office, case management software (MyCase), and remote tools like Google Meet.
