About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Immigration Specialist to join our Employee Relations team. This role will support compliance, case management, and advisory responsibilities across the U.S., partnering with key stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant immigration processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with U.S. visa types, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Compliance (25%)
- Pre-clear work authorization concerns for new hires.
- Complete I-9 verification and E-Verify for all U.S. hires.
- Support new international arrivals with Social Security Number applications and track progress.
- Arrange physical posting of immigration and labor compliance documents across U.S. offices.
Case Management (50%)
- Initiate immigration casework with external vendors.
- Review and sign petitions, student visa applications, and immigration employment verification letters.
- Manage seasonal immigration projects for both campus and experienced hires.
Advisory (25%)
- Answer pre-hire immigration questions from recruiting teams.
- Join strategy calls with vendors, candidates, and employees.
- Provide ad-hoc guidance to employees on immigration processes.
- Apply knowledge of U.S. visas and green card types to recommend strategies.
- Partner with People Operations, Payroll, Recruiting, and HRBPs to support immigration needs.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in U.S. immigration with deep knowledge of visa and green card processes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
