Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Associate Attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in removal defense and related immigration matters, with proven ability to manage complex cases. The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve critical legal issues, along with outstanding research and writing abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
L. Marcius Joseph & Associates, LLC is a dedicated immigration law firm committed to providing high-quality legal representation to clients facing complex immigration matters. We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team and handle removal defense and related immigration cases.
The successful candidate will take ownership of cases, including:
· Represent clients in all aspects of immigration law, including but not limited to Asylum, Removal Proceedings, Naturalization, Consular Processing, and Adjustment of Status.
· Prepare and file petitions and applications for immigration benefits such as family-based visas, employment-based visas, and immigrant petitions.
· Advocate for clients before Immigration Courts, USCIS, and other relevant agencies.
· Provide legal advice and counsel regarding immigration options based on each client’s individual circumstances.
· Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, legal briefs, and pleadings in support of cases.
· Attend hearings, interviews, and court appearances as needed.
· Review and organize client documentation, and ensure the accuracy of submissions to government agencies.
· Work collaboratively with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure timely filings and responses to requests for evidence (RFEs) and notices of intent to deny (NOIDs).Strong communication skills in both the office and courtroom are crucial for this role.
Key Qualifications:
· J.D. from an accredited law school.
· Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia or Florida and in good standing.
· 3–5 years of immigration law experience, with a focus on removal defense.
· Strong litigation skills and experience appearing before Immigration Courts.
· Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload effectively.
· Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or French) highly preferred but not required.
· Commitment to serving immigrant communities with compassion and professionalism.
· Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
· Team player who can handle client-facing responsibilities and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
