Bilingual Immigration Associate: Removal Defense & Humanitarian Relief

Brown Law, PLLC · Old Town Alexandria, VA · $110,000–$150,000 + profit sharing + firm-funded pension

Most immigration firms make you choose: high-volume practice or high-quality work, a paycheck or a future. We built Brown Law so you don't have to.

We're a fast-growing, technology-driven immigration boutique in Old Town Alexandria, serving families in Immigration Court and before USCIS. We're hiring an immigration associate who wants real ownership of their cases, their clients and their strategy, and a voice in where the firm goes next.

What sets this role apart

Ownership from day one. You run your own caseload, client relationships and case strategy, backed by a firm that invests in doing it right.
A seat at the table. You'll work directly with the founding partners and help shape the firm as it grows.
Technology that protects your time. Clients get automatic case updates, so your hours go to legal judgment, not status calls.
Retirement benefits almost no immigration firm offers. These include a firm-funded pension, profit sharing and a 401(k) match (details below).
A beautiful Old Town office. It's one of the best buildings in Alexandria, just minutes from the Annandale and Sterling immigration courts.

What you'll do

Independently manage a full caseload of removal defense and USCIS matters, from intake to resolution.
Appear at Master Calendar, bond and Individual (merits) hearings.
Prepare and present cases for asylum, withholding and CAT; cancellation of removal; U visas, T visas, VAWA and SIJS; TPS; adjustment of status; waivers; and family-based petitions.
Draft briefs, motions to reopen and reconsider, declarations and evidence packets.
Meet with clients in Spanish and English, and explain high-stakes options clearly and compassionately.

What you bring

A law license in good standing in any U.S. state.
Full fluency in Spanish and English, spoken and written. Most of our clients prefer Spanish.
3-5+ years of family-based and humanitarian immigration practice preferred, with substantial Immigration Court experience, including bond and Individual Hearings you've handled yourself. This is a removal-defense practice, not business immigration.
A reputation colleagues and clients recognize: the attorney people ask for by name.
Steady judgment under pressure.
