Dynamic, well-established immigration law firm in Coral Gables, Florida seeks a full-time Immigration Paralegal with a minimum of two (2) years of experience to join our legal team. This position offers hands-on involvement in a wide range of immigration matters and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of immigration petitions and applications, including employment-based and family-based matters, immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, labor certifications, citizenship applications, removal defense, waivers, and other complex cases
- Communicate with clients to obtain required information and supporting documentation
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Prepare legal correspondence, forms, and supporting documents
- Track case deadlines and monitor important dates to ensure timely filings and follow-ups
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar immigration-focused role
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal; Portuguese a plus
- Working knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with legal case management software
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and project-management skills
- Paralegal certification or college degree preferred
