This is a primarily remote position with occasional travel to the firm's Dallas or Houston office for meetings and collaboration. Because of this, there is a strong preference for candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston metro areas.

Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Employment-Based Immigration Attorney to join its growing legal team. This role will manage a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters while providing guidance and oversight to paralegals and support staff. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with employment-based visas, PERM, green cards, and complex immigration filings, along with strong client relationship and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment-based immigration matters from consultation through final resolution
- Prepare and oversee employment-based visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E visas, and other nonimmigrant filings
- Review PERM applications, I-140 petitions, employment-based green cards, RFEs, audits, motions, and appeals
- Draft and review legal briefs, cover letters, and supporting documentation
- Conduct client consultations and develop effective immigration strategies
- Attend USCIS interviews as needed
- Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and support staff
- Review case progress, deadlines, and filings to ensure quality and compliance
- Serve as a subject matter expert on employment-based immigration matters
- Train team members on immigration processes and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows and client service
- Stay current on immigration law and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Active bar license in good standing (any U.S. state or Puerto Rico)
- 5+ years of employment-based immigration law experience
- Strong experience handling:
- H-1B
- L-1
- TN
- O-1
- E visas
- PERM
- I-140 petitions
- Employment-based green cards
- Experience managing RFEs, audits, motions, and appeals
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience mentoring or supervising paralegals or legal support staff
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
