This is a primarily remote position with occasional travel to the firm's Dallas or Houston office for meetings and collaboration. Because of this, there is a strong preference for candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston metro areas.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Employment-Based Immigration Attorney to join its growing legal team. This role will manage a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters while providing guidance and oversight to paralegals and support staff. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with employment-based visas, PERM, green cards, and complex immigration filings, along with strong client relationship and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Manage employment-based immigration matters from consultation through final resolution
Prepare and oversee employment-based visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E visas, and other nonimmigrant filings
Review PERM applications, I-140 petitions, employment-based green cards, RFEs, audits, motions, and appeals
Draft and review legal briefs, cover letters, and supporting documentation
Conduct client consultations and develop effective immigration strategies
Attend USCIS interviews as needed
Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and support staff
Review case progress, deadlines, and filings to ensure quality and compliance
Serve as a subject matter expert on employment-based immigration matters
Train team members on immigration processes and best practices
Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows and client service
Stay current on immigration law and regulatory changes

Qualifications

Active bar license in good standing (any U.S. state or Puerto Rico)
5+ years of employment-based immigration law experience
Strong experience handling:
H-1B
L-1
TN
O-1
E visas
PERM
I-140 petitions
Employment-based green cards
Experience managing RFEs, audits, motions, and appeals
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Experience mentoring or supervising paralegals or legal support staff
Strong client communication and relationship management skills
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
