The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s global mobility and immigration programs, ensuring compliant, efficient, and employee-focused mobility operations across multiple jurisdictions.
This role manages relocation and immigration coordination, supports cross-border workforce movement, and partners closely with People & Culture, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and external vendors to ensure mobility programs align with organizational growth, compliance requirements, and operational needs.
The position plays a key role in developing scalable mobility processes, supporting employee experience, and maintaining governance and compliance standards related to global workforce movement.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in global mobility, immigration coordination, HR operations, or international workforce administration
- Experience supporting immigration and relocation processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Familiarity with Canadian, U.S., Australian, and international immigration processes and documentation requirements
- Experience working with external immigration counsel, relocation providers, and third-party vendors
- Understanding of mobility-related payroll, tax, and compliance considerations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent cases and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and case tracking/reporting tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and global teams
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or global organization is considered an asset
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinating global mobility and immigration processes for employee relocations, assignments, and international hires
- Supporting end-to-end mobility administration including immigration documentation, relocation coordination, vendor management, and employee communications
- Partnering with external immigration counsel and relocation vendors to ensure timely and compliant processing of work authorizations and mobility activities
- Tracking and maintaining employee immigration records, visa expiry dates, and mobility-related documentation
- Supporting mobility-related compliance activities and ensuring adherence to immigration, tax, and employment regulations
- Coordinating Payroll and Finance teams regarding relocation payments, tax implications, and mobility-related reporting requirements
- Providing guidance to managers, employees, and internal stakeholders regarding mobility processes, timelines, and requirements
- Supporting development and maintenance of mobility policies, procedures, and governance standards
- Maintaining accurate mobility data and reporting metrics to support operational visibility and compliance tracking
- Assisting with mobility cost tracking, reporting, and vendor invoice management
- Identifying opportunities to improve mobility processes, employee experience, and operational scalability
- Supporting Talent Acquisition and business leaders with international hiring and workforce mobility requirements
