The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is at the frontlines of defending the rights and dignity of immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees and fight for justice in a deeply flawed system. NIJC represents thousands of people each year in applications for legal status, defending individuals' rights under the law to live in safety with their loved ones in the United States and to be free from violence and persecution. At a time of crisis facing immigrants and refugees, the role of the Executive Director at NIJC represents the opportunity to stand firm and offer protection and advocacy for people facing discrimination, unlawful attack, and challenges to due process.

The National Immigrant Justice Center seeks an Executive Director who can honor the organization's legal legacy while guiding it toward greater organizational maturity as well as national influence. This leader will bring significant legal training and experience, preferably in immigration, given the dynamic nature of the system. Litigation expertise is a plus, though not required, if the candidate has demonstrated ability to oversee complex legal work and lead a sophisticated law practice. They will also be a compelling public advocate who can elevate NIJC's voice with donors, policymakers, and partners, while working alongside the Board and staff to set strategy and fuel ambitious fundraising.

The salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $265,000 annually and will be commensurate with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance and retirement plans. NIJC observes 12 paid holidays each year and offers Paid Time Off as well as Sick Leave.
