Eligibility:
- This internship is aimed at students studying at university level.
- You must be available for the full 3-month programme.
- You will need to commute to the Sheffield office on a regular basis.
- We do not expect any prior legal experience!
About Fragomen’s EMEA Internship:
Fragomen’s EMEA Internship Programme is in its 5th year! We are thrilled to welcome another talented cohort of students.
Our summer internships will offer you invaluable insight into Fragomen’s business and culture. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside our immigration professionals and collaborate on very real client-based work. This is a great opportunity to expand your immigration knowledge and gain experience in a global organisation to support your future career.
You can also expect exciting projects, 1-1 mentoring, as well as valuable skills training on employability, time management and presenting to name a few
About you:
We are looking for motivated individuals with an interest in how businesses operate behind the scenes. You will be organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail and confident communication skills. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
You will be responsible for providing support to the Shared Services Sheffield team, gaining exposure to a wide range of operational and administrative activities that underpin the work of our legal teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Interns will be aligned to one of three key areas within Shared Services: UK Shared Services (UKSS), Business Planning Group (BPG), or Policy, Procedures and Standards (PPS).
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting internal projects and process improvement initiatives
- Monitoring shared mailboxes and maintaining tracking logs
- Assisting with reporting activities, including data collation and preparation
- Reviewing and updating internal guidance materials and templates
- Providing administrative support for team meetings and internal communications
- Drafting correspondence using templates and updating case management systems
- Assisting with data-related tasks and general operational support
You’ll also:
- Be able to complete any projects or tasks within the agreed timeframes and in-line with expectations.
- Be able to act (independently or as a group) without full-time supervision.
- Be able to act professionally throughout the duration of the Internship as a Fragomen ambassador.
