Searching for a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills. This role is essential in supporting attorneys and staff with their daily tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Duties
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, taking payments, recording notes of every interaction with clients and maintaining office supplies.
- Create clients' profiles, invoices, filling out documents including general questionnaires, authorization forms, contracts, etc.
- Maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Interview clients to gather necessary information for cases.
- Manage legal software, Word, Excel, Google Space, etc.
- Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients in Spanish and English, communicate with ICE, USCIS, and court personnel.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for attorneys and staff, confirm appointments, etc.
Requirements
- Proven ONE year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
- Read, speak, and write in Spanish in a proficient level. NON NEGOTIABLE.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Proficient in legal research techniques and tools.
- Excellent interviewing skills to effectively gather information from clients.
- Basic knowledge of paralegal duties.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple calls simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Space and legal management software is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
