The Ehrisman Law Firm, P.C. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with prior immigration-related experience to join our fast-paced, growing firm. We are dedicated to immigration law and criminal law for non-citizens. Our firm seeks a self-motivated, fast learner to hit the ground running. We are committed to advocating for justice for all immigrants and their families.
The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor, be licensed in Georgia, and local to the Atlanta metro area.
Responsibilities Include:
· Representing clients in immigration court, and criminal and juvenile courts in various metro Atlanta locations;
· Drafting legal motions, briefs, waivers, and appeals;
· Reviewing and re-reviewing all applications and supporting documents prior to filing with immigration court and USCIS;
· Work directly with team of paralegals to ensure professional, high-quality work product and premium legal representation;
· Attending USCIS interviews for asylum and other applications for immigration benefits;
· Legal research and memo production;
Qualities Sought:
· Five (5) years of immigration-related attorney or law school clinic experience
· Aggressive advocacy in court;
· Strong attention to detail;
· Punctuality;
· Ability to produce consistently high quality work;
· Ability to review submissions with the highest degree of attention to detail;
· Ability to use email, electronic calendar, case management software, Google and Microsoft programs;
· Caring and compassionate attitude and the desire to fight for those facing deportation or who have otherwise fallen victim to predatory policies of the federal government;
· Self-starter that does not require micro-management;
· Commitment to put in the work that’s needed
· Drive to take ownership of work product and exceed minimum production expectations;
· Foreign language capability (Spanish/English) is preferred, but not required;
· Reliability;
· Effective time management

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
