We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal (SP/EN) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping immigrants navigate the U.S. immigration system.
About the Role
As an Immigration Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting our attorneys with complex immigration matters, ensuring all filings are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with immigration law.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare petitions, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and case analysis for attorneys
- Assist with complex case filings, including asylum, waivers, and employment-based visas
- Communicate with clients and government agencies (e.g., USCIS, NVC, EOIR) on case matters
- Monitor changes in immigration law and help update internal policies and procedures
- Train and mentor junior legal assistants and case managers
- Review case filings for accuracy and compliance with immigration laws
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation and hearings
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and deadlines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless, client-centered experience
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal
- Prior experience in U.S. immigration law required (business immigration is a plus)
- Bilingual (required): Native-level or advanced Spanish & English (SP/EN)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with legal software such as Clio is a strong plus
