New York Immigration Center is a small but fast-growing immigration law firm serving clients across Long Island and NYC, is seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney to join our team. We focus on removal defense, asylum, waivers, family-based petitions, TPS, employment-based immigration, and investor visas.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, and ICE
Prepare filings for asylum, I-601/601A waivers, adjustment of status, various motions, and more
Attend Immigration Court hearings and USCIS interviews. Most of the hearings are remote but must be willing to travel to court if in-person hearing is required.
Manage a full caseload and supervise legal assistants on document preparation
Conduct legal research, draft briefs and affidavits
Participate in client consultations

Qualifications:

J.D. and bar admission in any U.S. state (NY preferred but not required)
Experience in immigration law is preferred but we are willing to consider newer attorneys with strong interest in removal defense
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fluency in Spanish, French, or any other language is a plus but not required
Strong commitment to immigrant rights and social justice
Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and to work independently
