Job Summary
A fast-paced immigration practice seeks a full-time remote bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Paralegal for our EOIR/removal defense team. Experience with EOIR Master Calendar Hearing filings is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assemble immigration application forms, along with required evidence, via Adobe.
- Meet with clients (via phone and video) to gather case information and prepare documents.
- Draft legal documents and affidavits.
- Manage a voluminous caseload for clients and meet priorities set by case manager.
- Update practice management software with all client information and case progress.
- Translation of documents from Spanish to English.
- Interpret for appointments from Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (conversing, reading, and writing).
- Undergraduate degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience highly preferred but not required.
- 1 year of experience working in an immigration practice required; candidates with less than one year of experience will be considered if they showcase an in-depth understanding of immigration law and casework knowledge.
- Solid work history.
- Passion to help underserved populations and to help people from all walks of life.
- Strong interest in an immigration-based practice.
- Microsoft Word and Excel: intermediate/advanced proficiency.
- Adobe PDF experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to changing circumstances.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
