Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Advise clients regarding recommended strategies for the optimal resolution of their cases.
- Maintain communication with clients throughout their immigration process.
- Review applications and petitions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness before submitting to the corresponding government entity.
- Prepare clients for Consular interviews.
- Prepare and represent clients in USCIS as well as EOIR master and calendar hearings.
- Review Freedom of Information Act responses to find solutions for clients.
- Maintain and increase up-to-date knowledge of immigration law and policies through participation in webinars, staff meetings, self-education, and periodic training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Minimum 2 years of immigration experience required.
- Must have a valid bar license to practice law in any state.
- Must be registered with EOIR.
- Strong writing, verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to find creative solutions.
- Ability to serve clients in a professional and efficient manner.
- Competency to leverage technology to increase productivity.
- Ability to work with little oversight and manage a team.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish (90% of our clients are Spanish speakers).
