Job Title: Immigration Services Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Services Specialist to join our team temporarily. You will be the primary point of contact for contractors, handling various aspects of immigration services, onboarding, and employee relations. This role combines both back-end and front-end responsibilities and requires strong administrative skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors throughout their assignments, maintaining strong customer and contractor relationships.
- Understand work-based immigration and visa sponsorship, specifically F1, H1, TN visas, and Green Cards.
- Collaborate with Payroll Services Specialists to ensure accurate payroll processes.
- Assist Immigration Specialists and Recruiters with talent retention.
- Create an exceptional onboarding experience for contractors, facilitating communication and completion of all onboarding requirements.
- Conduct first-week service calls to all contractors at the start of their assignments.
- Provide timesheet and expense entry training.
- Manage work order processes and rate confirmations with customers, including auditing and researching rate discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Payroll Team for timecard collection to ensure timely and accurate payroll.
- Collaborate with internal HR on benefits, employee relationships, 401k, etc.
- Identify and resolve contractor-related issues.
- Manage estimated end dates with the Immigration Specialist.
- Perform rate and wage analysis and manage positions on job boards.
- Monitor expiration dates for H-1B visa holders and manage extension of status.
- Communicate expiring work authorization to customers for F1 students and handle RFEs.
- Ensure LCA compliance and document submission for audits.
Essential Skills
- Experience in an administrative or office setting role.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and basic Excel.
- Professionalism and strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in a call center or office setting customer service.
- Ability to work closely with a team and handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with a preference for candidates close to Troy, MI to join the team onsite 1-2 times per week. Working hours are from 8am to 5pm EST. All necessary equipment, including a laptop, monitor, headset, mouse, and keyboard, will be shipped to your home.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
