Required Qualifications:
- Experience 3 + years of experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (able to speak, write, understand, and read at a professional level in both languages).
- Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English and professional demeanor.
- Strong understanding of U.S. immigration law and procedures, including experience with family-based immigration, Humanitarian visas, and consular processing.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file immigration petition and applications, including family-based and humanitarian immigration cases.
- Conduct initial client intake interviews to gather information and documents necessary for filing.
- Draft, proofread, and edit various legal documents, including affidavits, petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
- Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and update case management systems.
- Communicate with clients, government agencies (e.g., USCIS, NVC, EOIR), and other stakeholders to gather information, follow up on pending cases, and provide case status updates.
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in immigration law and policy.
- Prepare and compile documentation for attorney review for court proceedings, interviews, and other legal processes.
- Track deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all timelines are met.
- Assist in preparing for immigration court hearings, including assembling exhibits, organizing documents, and preparing hearing briefs.
- Translate documents and interpret client communications when necessary (if bilingual).
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
