JOB TITLE: Immigration Attorney

JOB SUMMARY: Counsel and represent clients in immigration matters including family-based immigration and naturalization.

WORK SETTING: Alabama’s largest immigration law firm, recognized for its innovative solutions and client-centered practice. With offices located in the Birmingham and Huntsville areas, the firm is dedicated to serving the immigrant community across the region. IDEAL CANDIDATE: Well-organized individual with strong writing skills, who is self-motivated, able to handle a caseload and is interested in working with the immigrant community

HOURS: Full-time

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND TASKS:

-Counsel and advise clients on immigration options

-Represent clients at USCIS interviews

-Review immigration applications and filings

-Draft legal arguments and client communications

-Conduct research on legal issues

-Participate in community legal clinics and workshops

-Engage in CLE trainings on immigration and related topics

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-J.D. (or expected by May 2025)

-Member in good standing of a state bar (or sitting for the July 2025 bar)

-Bilingual (Spanish/English)

-Strong legal writing ability

-Outstanding communication skills

-Experience in immigration law or working with the immigrant community is a plus

PAY:
