Position: Associate Attorney
As an Associate Attorney at C.R. Wannamaker Law in Atlanta, Georgia, you’ll play a key role in advancing our mission of justice and support. You will manage a wide array of immigration matters—including VAWA, T, and U visa applications, as well as general affirmative filings. You’ll represent clients in immigration court, handling everything from Master hearings to merits hearings, and contribute to the success of the firm by mentoring our talented paralegal and legal assistant team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Legal Strategies: Craft comprehensive, client-specific legal strategies for a variety of immigration cases.
- Supervise Legal Team: Lead, support, and enhance the work of paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring top-tier legal assistance.
- Court and Interview Representation: Advocate for clients in immigration court and at USCIS interviews, demonstrating exceptional legal and negotiation skills.
- Uphold Professional Standards: Maintain the firm’s high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics in every interaction.
- Additional Duties: Take on other responsibilities to contribute to the firm’s growth and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish ( required) to facilitate strong communication with a diverse client base.
- Outstanding Communication Skills —both written and verbal.
- Research and Analytical Acumen —strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent Time Management —ability to juggle multiple cases while maintaining accuracy.
- Commitment to Confidentiality and professionalism in all legal matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite (Word, Excel, Docs, Sheets).
Education & Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active U.S. Bar License and good standing in any state.
- Legal Experience 5 years as a licensed attorney, with a background in immigration law preferred.
- Litigation & Supervisory Experience (a plus, but not required).
Location In-house in Atlanta, Georgia.
