We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our small boutique firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorney in various family and business immigration matters, ensuring that all legal processes are handled efficiently and accurately. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of immigration law.
Duties
- Assist attorney in preparing and filing immigration applications and petitions, including but not limited to family-based cases (marriage-based, adjustment and consular, K-1, and VAWA), employment-based cases (H-1B, TN, L-1, E-2), PERM/labor certification, and naturalization applications.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation for all active cases.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorney as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for their cases.
Experience
- PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR POSITION IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF LEGAL EXPERIENCE IN IMMIGRATION LAW! If you do not know form numbers by memory, or what they are used for, then please do not apply for the position.
- Must be able to work independently, handle a high volume case load and possess the ability to prepare immigration petitions independently, communicate with client effectively and timely, be pro-active, self-motivated, provide excellent customer services and always ensure the most accurate document production. Should have excellent writing skills, be organized, and be able to multi-task.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in both family and employment based immigration cases and have worked in a professional office.
