Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of law, particularly in areas such as insurance defense.

Duties

Assist laywers and paralegal on a day to day tasks relating to litigation
Assist lawyers in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials and conferences
Coordinate meetings, scheduling, answering and directing telphone calls
Maintaing and organizing electronic case files and update case management system with status information
Scheduling of hearings, pre-depositions, depositons, mediations, conmfrences
Compiliging and organizig documents, preparing binders and/or folders
Responsible for scheduling and calendaring
Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect ongoing cases or client interests.

Experience

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law office is preferred.
Familiarity with immigration law and tribal law regulations is highly desirable.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for client interaction and documentation preparation.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail is required.

Experience with E-Filing system in State and Federal courts and Florida's E Portal
Understanding of Federal and Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
Litigation process experience
Trial prepatation experience
Ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced enviornment and staying calm under pressure of mutilple deadlines
Detailed oriented
Outlook experience
Computer skills
