Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the managing attorney.

Schedule

This position is part-time. Will start at 2/3 days a week while training.

To start schedule will be Monday, Thursday, Friday OR Thursday Friday). Once training is complete you will switch to a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday).

Pay

Between $23 to $27 based on prior immigration law experience.

Skills

§ Fast Typer--REQUIRED

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook--REQUIRED

§ Proficiency in Dropbox, OneDrive, and Adobe required.

§ Proficiency in researching on Google various topics assigned by attorney.

§ Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

§ Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.

§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

§ Ability to lift 20-30lbs visa petition packages.

Responsibilities

§ Itemization of supporting documents and exhibits for visa petitions in Microsoft Word document.

§ Research applicant accomplishments.

§ Photocopy/scan visa petitions and upload to the system.

§ Scan and upload all receipt and approval notices.

§ Dropoff all visa petition submissions to local FedEx (will be reimbursed for gas)- MUST HAVE A CAR.

§ Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records in legal databases.

§ Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.

§ Utilize Dropbox/OneDrive for document management and filing purposes.

§ Support project management tasks by tracking deadlines and coordinating schedules.

§ Mail pick up (ability to drive required)

Miscellaneous

§ Familiarity with employment-based and family-based immigration law is NOT required as training will be provided. However, you must be proficient on a computer and working off of Microsoft Office and Google.

§ No client interaction required.

§ Dress code-casual.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
