AR & Collections Assistant (Law Firm – Bankruptcy & Immigration)

Pay: $22–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday
Work Location: On‑site with potential hybrid option after training

Job Summary

The AR & Collections Assistant supports the financial operations of a fast‑paced law firm, with a strong focus on collections and payment recovery for bankruptcy and immigration clients. This role requires professionalism, persistence, and an understanding of how payments affect legal filings and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Contact clients regarding past‑due, failed, or off‑plan payments via phone, text, and email
Secure payments and re‑establish payment plans
Provide collections coverage when needed
Re‑engage inactive clients and escalate complex matters appropriately
Post daily payments and track failed ACH/card transactions
Review and initiate 7‑day refunds
Maintain payment reports and upload ACH authorizations
Run daily 341 Reports and support bankruptcy case files (Ch. 7, 13, 128)
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers

Qualifications

Experience in collections or accounts receivable, preferably in a law firm
Bankruptcy and/or immigration experience strongly preferred
Comfortable handling past‑due payment discussions
Highly tech‑savvy and detail‑oriented
Reliable, professional, and deadline‑driven

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
