Immigration Attorney

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Immigration Attorney to join a collaborative litigation and family-based immigration team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload involving removal defense, waivers, and family-based immigration matters while advocating for clients before EOIR, USCIS, and other government agencies.
The ideal candidate is committed to client-focused advocacy, strong legal representation, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrant families.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in immigration court (EOIR) hearings, bond proceedings, and USCIS interviews.
- Develop case strategies and prepare applications, motions, briefs, and appeals.
- Handle a diverse caseload involving removal defense, waivers, and family-based immigration matters.
- Conduct client consultations and maintain clear, timely communication throughout each case.
- Coordinate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to manage case deadlines and documentation.
- Conduct legal research and provide strong written and oral advocacy.
- Participate in community outreach, legal education workshops, and pro bono initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Immigration law experience; removal defense or family-based immigration experience preferred.
- Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to immigrant advocacy and client service.
- Law review, immigration clinic, or trial advocacy experience is a plus.
- Fluent Spanish is strongly preferred/required.
