Job Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and reliable immigration legal assistant or paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate has prior experience in immigration law and can handle multiple tasks or cases simultaneously, provide timely responses to clients, and effectively organize and manage large volumes of documents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with case preparation, including gathering and organizing evidence.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
- Assist clients in completing USCIS immigration applications and petitions, and preparing complete responses to Requests for Evidence ("RFE's").
- Maintain accurate records and perform routine data entry tasks.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for cases.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and all other parties involved in cases.
Experience
- Previous experience as an immigration legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with immigration law, USCIS policies, procedures, and forms is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in legal writing and document management systems is highly preferred.
- Strong interviewing and communication skills to effectively gather information from clients.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting documents and client correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
