Business Immigration Paralegal / Immigration Specialist
Bright Line Counsel has partnered with a well-established, nationally recognized law firm to identify an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join its growing immigration practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative legal team that represents corporate clients in complex employment-based immigration matters. Responsibilities
- Prepare and file employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, E-1, E-2, O-1, TN, and other visa classifications.
- Prepare PERM labor certification applications, including prevailing wage requests, recruitment coordination, and ETA-9089 filings.
- Prepare employment-based immigrant petitions (I-140) and Adjustment of Status applications.
- Assist with employment-based permanent residence matters, consular processing, and U.S. citizenship applications.
- Draft support letters, legal correspondence, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
- Communicate directly with corporate clients and foreign national employees throughout the immigration process.
- Monitor filing deadlines, maintain accurate case records, and manage immigration case tracking systems.
- Coordinate with USCIS, the Department of Labor, and other government agencies.
- Conduct case audits and maintain compliance with client and government requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of business immigration experience in a law firm or corporate immigration practice.
- Demonstrated experience handling employment-based immigration matters from initiation through filing with minimal supervision.
- Strong experience preparing PERM labor certifications, H-1B, L-1, I-140, Adjustment of Status, and other employment-based immigration petitions.
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with immigration case management software such as INSZoom, LawLogix, Tracker, Docketwise, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing complex employment-based petitions, including O-1, NIW, Outstanding Researcher, or Multinational Manager cases.
- Experience mentoring junior paralegals or assisting with workflow improvements.
